Welcome to The Learning Link. I'm a certified teacher with an M.A. in teaching and many years of tutoring experience. I provide intensive intervention tutoring to help students catch up in reading, writing, or math. My experience and training have taught me to quickly assess students' learning needs, adapt instruction as necessary, and provide interactive activities to help make bridges to new learning.
I provide interactive, online lessons and work in-person with students in Brighton, Michigan, and surrounding areas.
In addition, I offer coaching and consultation to tutors and teachers in the use of The Orton-Gillingham Phonics Program.

Reading is essential. I provide intervention tutoring for students no matter where they are in their reading journey. I have extensive experience helping struggling students become confident and skilled readers. 
There is nothing like being able to express yourself well in writing. I enjoy helping students learn to master the art of written expression. I know how to help students at any point in their writing journey, from reluctant writers to students who want to explore their creative potential. 
I often meet students who think they can't do math. I show them that they can. I build upon the math knowledge they have by using a variety of games and skill building activities to help them grow in their math confidence and skills.
